A DAY IN THE LIFE

In this role, you will…

 

·        Coordinate the closing of files assigned to you within a required timeline and coordinate all aspects involved with the finalizing of the closing process

·        Be responsible for the preparation and accuracy of closing documents in accordance with State requirements and client instructions

·        Ensure that ServiceLink’s two-hour turnaround time commitment to clients is met by monitoring and prioritizing work-in-progress reports

·        Review title commitment for clearance and to ensure all items are accounted for, including but not limited to: updating payoffs, taxes, and HOA

·        Secure lender, seller and/or broker approval of loan closing documents

·        Confirm closing dates, location, documentation, and funds due at closing with borrowers

·        Resolve vendor billing issues

·        Conduct bi-weekly meetings with team members and management

·        Address inquiries from asset management companies, clients, borrowers, agents and internal staff

·        Develop procedures to ensure an enhanced vendor, client and consumer experience is consistently delivered

·        Resolve rejected documents

·        Develop scripts and workflows to support and triage inbound vendor phone calls and inquiries

 

WHO YOU ARE

You possess …

 

·        The ability to professionally communicate to management the status of items/reports

·        Working knowledge of real estate titles and deed preparation

·        The ability to multitask

·        Strong computer skills and are proficient in the Microsoft software products

 

Responsibilities

·        Responsible for daily reports, schedules, funding, policies, rejected documents and any other assigned reports by managers

·        Responsible for preparation and accuracy of closing documents in accordance with State requirements and client instructions

·        Review title commitment to ensure all items are accounted for, including but not limited to: updating payoofs, taxes and HOA; Review effective date schedule within company policy guidelines

·        Engage lender, seller, and/or broker for approval of loan closing documents and provide requested documents

·        Assists in training

·        Confirm closing dates, location, documentation, and funds due at closing with all parties

·        Ensure all funding conditions have been met in accordance with State requirements and client instructions

·        Attend assigned conference calls

·        Attend and participate in bi-weekly team meetings, ensuring that you are on-time and prepared

·        Update management of daily reporting status

·        Work with management on team metric and file counts

·        Maintain professional communication with team members, team leader, management, and clients (internal and external)

·        Address inquiries from clients, sellers, buyers, agents, internal staff and asset management companies professionally and in a timely manner

·        Resolve vendor billing issues

·        Cut checks to all payees and wire funds to the seller within client directed timelines

·        Confirm file setup with disbursements

·        Resolve post-close issues in a timely manner, including lender, recording, and policy rejections

·        Resolve rejected documents

·        Responsible for maintaining good client relationships and providing customer service

·        Review and signoff on authorized items

·        Ensure that all funding conditions have been met in accordance with state and client instructions

·        Cut checks to all payees and wire funds to the seller within client directed timelines

·        Perform all other duties as assigned  

Qualifications

·        High School diploma or equivalent required

·        Prior experience as an Escrow Officer or a Closing Coordinator

·        Practical work experience within the mortgage loan department of a lending institution

·        Working knowledge of real estate titles

·        Prior experience with deed preparation and closings

·        Must be able to use and have advanced computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft software products

·        Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

·        Demonstrate good communication

·        Good customer service skills
