This experience will allow the intern to develop the skills necessary for job placement and advancement in the mortgage and financial services industries. The intern will assist with coordinating aspects and evaluating effectiveness of training projects. The intern will be provided with a foundation of technical and leadership skills and cross-functional opportunities, which will reinforce and expand classroom learning while preparing them for postgraduate employment. **It is anticipated that the internship program this year will be primarily Remote/Work from Home.  However, we hope to be able to have some opportunities for in-person activities as well.  As such, candidates within commuting distance of Troy, MI may be given preference.

 

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Provide support to Director of Training and Corporate Training team.
  • Utilize analytical thinking and problem-solving skills for evaluation and implementation of training processes.
  • Identify training needs and develop applicable training programs.

  • Undergraduate Junior or Graduate Student; Instructional Design or Adult Learning Theory related majors preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data on training effectiveness to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist with development of a professional certification training program.
  • Create a content review workflow process and implement with stakeholders.
  • Gain an understanding of adult learning theory and how it applies to Corporate Training
  • Provide support to Director of Training and Corporate Training team.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Junior or Graduate Student; Instructional Design or Adult Learning Theory related majors preferred.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must possess problem solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with a team.
