JOB SUMMARY

 

Title Curative Specialist is responsible for coordination of all aspects involved with reviewing title commitments, clearing title for clear loan policy issuance, communicating with clients, borrowers, internal staff and external agencies to facilitate all closing issues in a timely manner consistent with company defined standards for service and quality.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work daily assigned Work in Progress reports to ensure files are reviewed, cleared and client updated in a timely manner consistent with established standards for service and quality.
  • Order new deeds as necessary based on borrower, lender or state requirements
  • Ordering payoffs for mortgages and judgments as needed
  • Meet deadlines and specific time frames
  • Responsible for clearing title commitments in accordance with state requirements and client instructions
  • Address inquiries from clients, borrowers, agents and internal staff professionally and in a timely manner
  • Utilize customer service skills in all communications with client
  • Use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to enter data and process information consistent with company standards for service and quality
  • Enter all information in the system notes regarding every task completed or updated on a file.
  • Compile and verify information for each order
  • Communicate effectively with persons outside organization, supervisors/managers, peers
  • Effectively organize, plan, and prioritize work
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Practical work experience within real estate industry or vendor management service company
  • Working knowledge of real estate titles, deed preparation and closing
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Ability to Meet deadlines and specific time frames
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner
  • Proficiency with personal computers including familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
