A DAY IN THE LIFE


 

In this role, you will…

 

  • Lead engineering efforts as part of a cross functional team.
  • Mentor a group of engineers..
  • Proactively manage critical project issues, risks and challenges, utilizing project

management tools and business expertise to deliver projects.

 

 

WHO YOU ARE


 

You possess …

 

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related years of experience
  • 8+ years experience in a technical environment
  • Ability to multitask in a performance-driven environment
  • Demonstrated sound knowledge of SDLC processes
  • Demonstrated leadership in process improvement and process control

Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive engineering projects from start to completion
  • Work closely with product management and business stakeholders to understand and translate business

needs into technical solutions

  • Represent the engineering team in cross-functional projects and to the company at large
  • Responsible for coaching, mentoring, and keeping 1:1 with team members as well as gathering feedback and implementing necessary improvements.
  • Coordinate with various Directors and Managers within IT for the delivery of services to internal and external customers
  • Conduct personnel matters in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 8+ years’ experience delivering and maintaining complex, low latency, scalable, mission-critical systems
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to design complete systems by collaborating with multiple teams and understanding testing, hardware and

deployment methodologies

  • Strong knowledge of algorithmic complexity/simplicity tradeoffs and effective use of data structures/databases
  • Deep technical knowledge of .NET
    • Extensive background in the .NET Framework, with recent emphasis on .NET Core
    • Experience architecting .NET Core web and web service solutions
    • Real-world experience writing ASP.NET Core Web API REST services
    • Emphasis on code quality and resileincey
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Hands-on experience designing Microservices using Kubernetes and Docker
  • Hands-on experience with web technologies/frameworks like Angular, React, HTML 5, JavaScript
  • Good understanding of low latency messaging and asynchronous design patterns
  • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
  • Excellent documentation and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with technical and non-technical people
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management
  • Ability to mentor engineers.
